Seems WF makes "friends" wherever he goes. Banned from that site about a month ago. Expresses the same opinions on everything. But at least he seems to have learned a new word - "troll".

No, you're never too old to Yak'n'Roll if you're too young to die. |

| My. God. A single thread with 127+ pages? I thought this one was way too long. I know you're a Google God Peter, but how do you even TRY to read something like that? |

I decided I should give WhiteFang a new chance so I Googled him to see where he had participated and contributed before. A person with his alleged knowledge and experience should have left traces somewhere. After all, I think he has some valuable knowledge. I was thinking beyond his people skills.
All I found was some references to Microsoft Access, a few to Oracle; and the links above.

It's curious about his experience, he's posting from an IP address assigned to the U.S. Department of Transportation. I'm wondering if he's spent all his time doing government work.
Of course, they know all about doing cutting-edge Enterprise systems.
I wonder if they waterboard people who put business logic in stored procedures. No wait, wait, that's the CIA, never mind. |

Perhaps "n-tier enterprise architecture" is just another euphemism for "torture".

The soon to be unemployed? Actually, thanks to my last employer, I got to be pretty good from a network perspective (enough to be dangerous) but at my current employer, I am pretty much hands-off from the network side of things. Guess it depends on where you work? Bottomline, as you stated though, the OP should have some know-how from an IT/SQL perspective to figure out what the issue is and what needs to be done to fix the problem. Being able to actually correct it him or her self, without the help of an network admin, may be another story.

He was quite active when I first started posting maybe around 2005. Search by [his original name] and specify one of the 2000 forums. Plenty of his posts/responses.

If that was directed to me then you're right - I've seen more than a few references to this guy in my time here but never had the "pleasure" of direct communication.

Oh, the joys you've missed.
I have never, ever enjoyed locking an account as much as his. |
