| Right now when i go into EM i have SQLDEV ...as the nameI need to change this to FINANCESQLDEVThe machine is called SQLDEVIf i rename my machine as FINANCESQLDEV...how to i get the SQL EM to use FINANCESQLDEVinstead of SQLDEV Do i have to run a command in SQL at all..Thanks |

| You can simply un-register the server then re-register it with the new name. You'll need to check out the article in BOL that describes what you need to do to SQL Server when you rename the server.Tara Kizer |
