CJ writes "Here goes. We are running sql 2000 on Windows 2003 standard. In the program files\mssql\data\backup\ folder there is a file called advbackup with no extension. This file at one time was used as a backup file using a dmp. Now the dmp has been deleted and I have checked for any backup jobs that could be qued in sql and there is nothing. My problem is that this file keeps growing on a daily basis and after 15 to 20 days it is 50GB. I am also having this problem at other sites. Its like there is a dmp setup but it is not showing up. Any ideas?
