>> one problem we are having is that the we cannot run a successful backupWhy not?>> next we are unable to export any data through scripts. no error is given, it just diesAgain why not - can you script the database and bcp the data?If you can't do either of those then sounds like you are in trouble.If you can't take a backup then it implies you aren't too concerned about the database so maybe you should use your process to rebuild from scratch.==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.DTS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |

Get a more up to date O/S!"our only approach is to detach/re-attach the database..."Please do NOT detach until you know you have a valid backup. If for any reason you cannot re-attach that database you will be hosed.Kristen |
