(Replies may be delayed as I'm OOF again - this time at TechEds in Spain)

My guess is that the directory that the original files lived in no longer exists - so you have to provide the new location of the files.

Are you 2000 or 2005? Look at the BOL for CREATE DATABASE .. FOR ATTACH on 2005, sp_attach_db on 2000.
