A Community Technology Preview of Service Pack 2 for SQL Server 2005 is available. This doesn't just fix bugs -- it also adds features. The What's New document has more details. And it looks like you can finally script CREATEs and DROPs together! Woohoo!

As someone who has spent a lot of time writing queries in QA, it's nice to see these two irritations in 2005 addressed:

"Fewer connection prompts when opening .Transact-SQL scripts. Management Studio determines the connection of the current context."

"Graphical show plans. The spacing between nodes is reduced to display more plan information."
