When tried to configure publisher iam getting error

sql server replication does not support nicknames, such as "." or "[local]" as server names
how can i give name for "local"

please suggest me

It's the name of the machine.
@@servername in sql server.

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
DTS can be used in a similar way.

When i use query select @@servername it is giving 'mark00'
but in enterprise manager it is showing 'local'
