The slides and demo files for SQL Server 2005 Tips and Tricks are available for download. This is nearly identical to the "What I Wish Developers Knew About SQL Server 2005" presentation.

Article Link.

The download contains only the template for the presentation.
Can you post a link to the actual slides or web presentation?

That's really weird. Not only did I upload a template I uploaded the template from the wrong conference. Not one of my better days. This is fixed.

Can I get the actual audio recording or something similar? There's a lot of cool stuff, but all of the punchlines are missing.

In the mean time...

In the Section Handlign Nulls (2) it says to "Do Use: WHERE ColumnName IS NULL"
And then it says
"Avoid: WHERE (@Var IS NULL OR Column=@var)"

But I do the "Avoid" statment all the time in my sprocs. What is the alternate suggestion whe nyou want to optionally pass in a parameter?
