Has anybody implemented cross domain log shipping?Any info would be greatly appreciated.I have two servers(A & B) in domain1, whose database need to be in a warm standby mode on a third server(C) in domain2. The server names are not resolved by each other.Again, thanks in advance for help.Paresh |

We run log shipping across domains with no issues. Start with making sure that you can resolve names outside of SQL. Also create trust relationships so that accounts have access to the required shares. Perform copy and write files from outside SQL with the accounts that SQL will use. This will insure that SQL can read and write as required. If everything works from outside SQL it will work from within SQL.Raymond LaubertMCDBA, MCITP:Administration, MCT |
