Hi,

I try to create index on view.
I took care for all the previous neccessary conditions as mention in BOL.
I got this error:
"
It contains one or more disallowed constructs.
"
why ?

thanks
Noam

I found a massive performance boost with using indexed views, what I will suggest though is that you make the view as general as possible and be very careful with them in regards to which tables you add into the view... Had a lot of hassle to start with, but then generalised on what was required and once the frustration was over and I actually got to use them, a query that would take 3 minutes before only took about 10 seconds afterwards...

Inserts and deletes will take much longer to any table used in the indexed view, if you need to update the data, it may be quicker to drop the index (and the view as it needs to be schemabound) before inserting and recreate it once the inserts/deletes are completed...

As for the problem Noamg is experiencing, are you sure all the objects are schemabound?

Can you possibly post your views code??
