Hi,I am trying ot create a maintenance task in SQL Server 2005 using the wizard. I am doing it from my windows XP box, connecting to the SQL Server The task is a simple backup plan. Once I am done with the wizard and click "save" I get the "Apply to target server failed for job "myJob" Now, I assume it is some kind of security thing on the server, could someone possible lead me in the right direction on how to change the settings to allow the job to be added?Thank You |

Though I am not sure what you try to do. Anyhow, it is a simple backup plan right? I think this is most probably because that sql server agent service is not turned on. Try to turn it on and it should work.aex |
