hi ramio

when i restore my member server on another machine
i get to un solved issue:

1. i cant access the instance i used,
beacuse the database is no longer in the folder.
so i need to create another instance.
is there is a way taht i can repair the same instance?

2. is there is an order in restoring the system of the instance db.
beacuse when i restore the master using single user
then the service wont start.

thanks

1. If system db files are not there, not much you can do.

2. Should restore master first then model and msdb. Did you get any error when try to start sql?

hi ramio

since my last post, i reinstall and install
the instances about 10 times.

it seems that my restore to the master was not good.
dont know if that is the case and dont understand why,
but just when i excutes the cmd of single user mode
from sql.1\binn and not from sql.2\binn

i thought i should use the instance exe file.

thanks

If you don't know which file to work with, you can start sql in single user mode in services applet.
