I am trying to pull data from an Oracle database on another server. In MS SQL Server 2005 I already set up a linked server connected and it tested fine. Plus all of the tables are there too. However, when I go to query any information it keeps on giving me an error. I tried basic sql statements and I have had no such luck even seeing the data. Is there a special trick to this or am I doing something wrong? I had tried to find resources out there but nothing is out there. I'm wondering if anyone has had experience with this?

I appreciate any amount of imput!
Thanks in advance.

What was the error? Which provider did you use to create linked server?
