I exaplained this with the links I posted to you earlier.User Elevation Tool gives windows local administrator, ADMIN permissions and rights on SQL Server.With SQL Server 2000 this was done by default. With SQL Server 2005 (pre VISTA) also. But with VISTA, you have to manually add local windows administrator to the ADMIN group in SQL Server (if you want to). E 12°55'05.25"N 56°04'39.16" |

No, I would not.Then everyone who gets admin access to the machine also get admin permission to the sql server.Make a new ADMIN user in the database and REMEMBER the password! And never use this user in any connection string. E 12°55'05.25"N 56°04'39.16" |
