How do I go about if I want to capture a fresh copy of the stored procedure?

What do you mean by Fresh copy? Do you have version control in place?

I'm guessing s/he means the most recent compiled version in a database

Which version of SQL Server?

SQL Server 2000, this is what I meant "most recent compiled version in a database".

Got Enterprise Mangler

Open the database folder

Click of Stored Procedures

Right click on the sproc

Click menu item All Tasks

Then click generate script
