I've been asked to look into installing this. Can someone go over what all is needed and how the install works? I've read the install doc and I'm still a bit confussed. On my local pc I have everything but reporting services installed. It says I need reporting services in the doc, but in order to have that I have to have a local install of developer edition of SQL. I saw in the doc where it says that I can uncheck the SSL for the reporting services install and then it comes up with a screen for me to pick the reporting services server (I think). But when I chose one (a SQL 2005 server) it says it's the wrong version of SQL 2000 to be supported. I'm a bit lost. Thanks |

Yea, evidently you need reporting services installed locally (or where you are installing SQLH2). It talks about putting dev edition of sql2000 and reporting services but I'm a bit confused is all. We don't/can't have local editions of dev edition of sql. I was hoping to point it to the dev server which has sql2005. Don't have a clue how to proceed at the moment. |
