I get this problem

unable to connect to server <server name>:
server:MSG 17, level 16, state 1
[Microsfot][ODBC SQL SERVER Driver][shared memory]
SQL server doesn't exist or access is denied

Please HELP ME if u can

Please provide some details, where are you attempting to access the SQL Server from, what have you typed in for the servername? If you are not on the server itself are you able to ping the server? Have you ensured that the SQL Server service is started on the Server you are attempting to reach?

Enable tcp/ip and/or named pipes on sql server then try to connect with those protocols.

This may be a name resolution issue , are using an IP address or a machine name?

Error came from shared memory, it's protocol for local connection only.
