I need help for completely removing sql server 2005 from my computer.
I have tried unintalling it through Add/Remove programs, but when i try to reinstall it this message appears :
"Some components of this edition of SQL Server are not supported on this operating system. For details, see 'Hardware and Software Requirements for Installing SQL Server 2005' in Microsoft SQL Server Books Online."
I think that there is something that is not completely removed from the first installation.

Which edition are you trying to install, and on which O/S?

You can't install some of the Server-versions of SQL Server onto a Workstation version of Windows, for example.

Even if you have succeeded there is no guarantee it will work as it is not supported.

If you want a development environment for Enterprise on your PC then use the Developer version. That has all the functionality of Enterprise.
