After running Reporting Services Configuration on my laptop (Win XP Pro) I attempted to go to http://localhost/Reports to verify installation. I get the following message in the browser:

'''''''
This error (HTTP 403 Forbidden) means that Internet Explorer was able to connect to the website, but it does not have permission to view the webpage.
'''''''

I expected to see something like:
"SQL Server Reporting Services"
"HOME"

Update: After trying again to browse to http://localhost/reports/ I now get the following message:
'''''''

The XML page cannot be displayed
Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A name was started with an invalid character. Error processing resource 'http://localhost/reports/'. Line 1, Position 2

<%@ Page language="c#" Codebehind="Home.aspx.cs" AutoEventWireup="false" Inherits="Microsoft.ReportingServices.UI.HomePag...

'''''''

In addition, when looking at the Reporting Services Configuration Manager, I get the attached error when clicking Initialization.
"There was an error when switching panels. The most likely cause is an error retrieving WMI properties. The exception details are:
An internal error occured on the report server. See the error log for more details (rsInternalError)."

What would cause this and how do I fix it?

Thanks for any help,
