Earlier in the year we held a Reader Challenge. We found a really hard question and asked our readers to try and solve it. We've decided to to it again. Think you're good at SQL? Read on and try this problem!

Ok, I know I got the sorting wrong in the sample data. I guess that tells you how much golf I play. Just sort them either way and I'll figure it out.

A number of people have questioned the rankings. The question involves something along the lines of "What happened to 3,4,7"? If you have three people tied for second, they didn't want a third or fourth place, they wanted to jump straight to fifth for the next person.

The Reader's Challenge is CLOSED. Thanks to all that sent a solution. I'll try to get something up over the weekend with the results. I have 77 items in my folder to go through. I might even try to find a harder one next time! Please don't post solutions in here just yet.
