Hi All,
i am the SA user for the SQL server.
Now can i set the password at the Database level?
I donot want create USERS and grant them permissions
I wish to explicitly create password for a database in my server.

Thanks in advance.

The situation is that, Whoever access the SQL server uses same SA username and password and that we donot have users created for our server here.. Sounds absurd but thats how it is here in our work place.
Therefore was just curious to know if a SA can set password at DB level.

Not quite sure what you're asking , are you asking if the "sa" can have more than 1 password , and each password would give different access to different dbs?

i think i see what you mean...

so everyone logs on as SA, you then want to 'password protect' a database in the same way as you would a spreadsheet for example..? NO, you can't

Create sql login for each user, never let them use sa.
