Author  Topic  gtjr92 Starting Member 15 Posts Posted - 2008-03-27 : 08:06:31 I have created a report that uses an OLE adapter to connect to a sql database. It's a 3rd party DB so this is the only way they allow access to the db. for the record it it act 10 premium. I used the ole adapter and set my report up and it runs just fine in the report creator/Business Intelligence development. I go to preview the report and all is well no problem I am able to deploy the report to the report server just fine. However when I try to execute the report via the report manager website it just keep saying report it generating but it never shows the report. The report only returns 25 rows and takes seconds when previewing the report in BID. I also tried creating a job to email me the report but i never get it. I know the email is set up properly. Is there something else i need to do to get a report that uses an ole provider to work? I have the ole loaded on the same server as the report server like i said it works fine when previewing it. to be clear i developed the report on the same server i deployed it to Thanks
