This title cracked me up:

Manage Database Metadata with POI and Excel

My boss who knows nothing about database design, but likes excel will probably love it though.
I cant wait to export INFORMATION_SCHEMA views to excel, I am sure it will make my life a lot easier

Quote from the article:

Why export it?

Just connect to it in Excel VBA

Or better..use an ADP

Or you can have some fun like we're having

funny indeed !

We have this really cool app that imports the metadata,
AND generates and RUNS the necessary DDL statements to make the database compliant
with the NEW metadata specifications.

The only thing is that it is a bit SLOW when there is alot of data in the tables.

Do You think that if I used XML, it would make it faster ?

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
DTS can be used in a similar way.

One of my favourites is when we were given excel sheets to import into our dw system.
And they used color coding to distinguish the data "#¤!"#¤!!

DTS doesn't do that Yet!
Maybe I should put it on my wishlist to m$
