I think I asked the wrong question earlier. What features do you want in a forum that we don't have now?

This question is better but dangerous

I want wrapping text if it runs miles to the right side out of the visible textbox.

All other things here are fine. I like the forum.
And not at least because the mates here are super!

Maybe... I can answer in german language and the software translates to very good english

No, you're never too old to Yak'n'Roll if you're too young to die.

I think this will be hard to find in a forum. It will most likely be something I have to custom write.

Actually we may be able to use the Google Translate service. Well, except for the very good English part. I think your English is better though :)

For reference herewith some cross references:

What forum software do folk like and is it ASP/.NET and/or SQL Server based?
http://www.sqlteam.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=142841

Handling posts which are very wide (using CSS):
http://www.sqlteam.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=140635

(On SMF 1.1.11 I am pretty sure that on FireFox etc. long URLs etc are wrapped, but not on IE. I presume that's just a CSS trick and IE isn't (yet?) compatible; I can look to see what they use if you like - so at least FireFox / Chrome users would be immune, and it would be "cheap to do" )

SQL Team vs. Other Forums
http://www.sqlteam.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=139601
I think that's the most comprehensive wishlist of features I've seen (well, that I have posted at least , specifically this reply in that thread:
http://www.sqlteam.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=139601#546072

Happy to help in any way I can Graz (bit worried that I have loads of work at the moment, but I'll do my best ...)

Actually -- maybe this already exists but I'm not sure how to find it.

A link to topics that haven't got any replies yet?

This one I can do. I worked up this (http://www.sqlteam.com/forums/activezero.asp) a long time ago. It looks like it slipped off the menu somehow though.

Here's some wishful thinking: I'd love a [sql] tag that's like the code tag, but wraps and formats the text by uppercasing and coloring keywords. I also happen to know a member of SQLTeam who knows how to do that kind of stuff.

And maybe some Twitter integration, but only to subscribe to threads via Twitter rather than email.

And maybe a URL rewrite feature so this http://www.sqlteam.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=143194 can be presented as http://sqlteam.com/143194.

Exists for folk with 10,000 posts - but only to nuke the whole thread, only moderators can edit/delete a single post.

I'd be happy with a Nuke Button, but even a Report Spam button (that logs the specific post for MODs to click & kill) would do me. Copy link, find the Spam thread, Paste a message is asking a lot of the nice folk here ...
