Hello all....What the hell is going here?I've noticed that people are not posting here anymore... is it because of me?I know it was really f****d last time and stuff but honestly... I did not mean to scare you people off.... So... I am here again.. and I've decided to make some trouble Ummm.... maybe not.... oh yea.. what's his name? That Aussie dude... the one that took my old login off the list... hey.... can I have it back... Crespo24 looks crap... AND.... my questions under Crespo24 are so crap and stuff and it makes me look like a complete n00b By the way... has anyone done these BOP tests for programmers before?I did the first one a few months ago and got 70%.. the second one I got 71% so I am not such a n00b after all.Any guys done the test before? |

Get a few customers and next thing you know they want you to work. The nerve of some people. Not much time for SQLTeam anymore. I'm lucky if I can find time to down 15 or 20 beers anymore. JustinExpect 0x80040106Edited by - justinbigelow on 03/04/2003 17:19:11 |

mmm.....it's gone very quiet alright...couple of reasons.... people have moved up the skill levels, less basic problems being encountered and thus less stuff to answer, when they hit the next knowledge blockage they may be back newcomers MAY finally be doing searches for previous answers.... and I suppose every new toy, eventually becomes old...is it time for Sqlteam to re-invent itself?maybe the forums could be re-categorised into .... areas of relevance by SQL experience, rather than by area of activity...ie 3 sections...newcomer, 6months+ and 3years+...Maybe the newcomer section could contain a 'snapshot/consolidated view' of the commonest and most basic problems posted here, which could then be cleared out of the database....value could then be added by focussing people at areas where their experience qualifies them to be? |

I think its due to the increase in traffic. There are alot more people hanging around with alot of knowledge. As a larger number of people are available to answer the same questions people are less inclined to monitor the boards with the same frequency as in the past. So the people that used to post on more social threads like this one while waiting around for actual questions appear less frequently since any questions are bound to get answered very quickly, they go back to /. or whatever other sites they surf to avoid real work . Now instead of 20 smart people hanging around answering questions and posting to each other on a first name basis you have 80 smart people who answer questions and then go about their business. If you are having an issue with SQL Server that you need help resolving then either group would work, in fact the 80 smart people is probably better from a question/answer perspective due to increased depth of knowledge. But the smaller group of people is probably better from a community point of view. It's a little ironic that an increase in people seems to diminish the community (at least thats how it appears to me).Of course I could be totally wrong and everybody could just be getting too busy to hang around as much. I know thats the case with me JustinExpect 0x80040106 |

How did work this one out....Where in my message did I refer to OBL and his plans... where did I mention ANYTHING about that?Care to explain... or rather.. copy and paste the B.S you last read on CNN or heard on ABC or something like that.. please... and I woud like some proof is that's not too much to ask for.... THX!Oh... and as for an answer to your question..... I will qoute one of your own here.... By the way... do you know Charles Lindbergh? I doubt it...He once said....'Their gratest danger to this country lies in the Jewish ownsership and influence in our motion pictures, our press, our radio and our government.'That's where your problem is... you solve it and you will get the peace you want... oh and stop your government from arming dictators (like Saddam).. that will help too.
