Hi all,

I have the BizTalkMsgBox DB in a 30 mins Log Backup Schedule. I also monitor the size of the DB from the Operations Manager 2007 on a Graphical chart. The chart usually has a normal flow and when the Log backup is taken the log free space is increased. While I was monitoring the Free space, I saw that on the specific time that the backup was about to be taken the flow didn't follow the normal flow that it usually follows. (However the mail that the backup had been taken worked fine). I went to the server I saw the job history and it was saying that the backup was taken normally. I looked at the SQL Server Log Viewer and there the same. The backup was taken normally. But in the folder that the backup is supposed to be kept there wasn't a backup of the specific database and the specific time that I was expecting.

Can you tell me how this happened and why?

The next backup was taken normally after 30 minutes. But didn't I supposed to have an alert that there was a failure on the backup?
