I have this situation:

- a new XP professional installation
- no SO updates
- I manually install .NET framework 1.1, .NET framework 1.1 sp2, .NET framework 2.0, .NET framework 2.0 sp1
- I manually install SQLServer2005 BackWardCompatibility

So, during installation of SQLServer 2005 Express ADV, I have an unexpected reboot of the PC.

Then, the system becomes instable and I have continuosly other unexpected SO reboot and I can only reinstal XP If I want to work!

I tried this procedure a lot of time and I always had the same result.

What's the problem? Can I install .NET framework without update the SO?

Thanks.
