I installed SQL Server 2005 standard edition. When I am trying to connect (via SQL Server Management Studio)to the default local dB by using SA. I get the following error:
Cannot connect to <server name in here>
A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the login process (provider shared memory provider error 0 - no process is on the other end of the pipe). Microsoft SQL Server error 233.

I have Shared memory enabled as well as TCP/IP.

Any ideas what's wrong?

Thanks

Wendy
