Rajendran Menon writes "Hi,We are developing a large web based applicaiton on .net 2.0 and SQL Server 2005 as the back end. We decided to use Reporting Services for reporting. We created some reports and deployed them. However, we have run into the following problems:1. The reports are painfully slow. Even on the same machine where the server resides, it takes ages for the reports to appear. With this kind of speed, it is not possible to provide the same to our client.2. When the application is deployed, and when we try to access the reports from remote machines, the reporting services is asking for user name and password to log into the server machine. Anonymus access is provided in IIS for the same. With these kind issues, we are debating if we should contine with this or go back to good old Crystal Reports. If anybody could suggest some solutions to the above, we would be greatful as we need to take a decision on this in the next couple of days. Thanks and regardsRajendran MenonProject ManagerKott Software" |
