We have sql 2000 64 bit

Im trying to get it working so jobs send out email and that i can write scripts to send out email.

I am reading this
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/sql/2000/evaluate/ansvcs64.mspx

However, SQL Agent Mail in SQL Server 2000 (64-bit) can be configured remotely by Enterprise Manager, if your client remotely connects using SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 3.0 or later.

I am on my machine no sql server just the client tools ......and outlook on my machine....is it saying configure here...the outlook
or i have to have sql installed on a 32 bit machine and then register the sql server on here and have outlook on here...
