| TEXT and IMAGE datatypes may not be selected as DISTINCT.There is a way to override this message and actually do the query if i make an union? I'm using MS SQL 6.5 |

| Show us the query you are trying. As I mentioned earlier today on another thread, one of the worse habits I see all the time in SQL is people randomly adding DISTINCT to queries to get the results they think they need, until it "looks" right. More often than not you are either including tables in the query you shouldn't be, joining incorrectly, or approaching your logic the wrong way ....- Jeff |
