| Iam trying to get into the performance tunning .please help me how to check a query whether its the best one and how can use the execution plan for the performance tunning.IF I have a while loop how can I optimize the code.Certain isssue that are common.it will be great if someone can give me some tips and help me.... |

| If you use a WHILE LOOP, well then there goes performance. Same thing with dynamic SQL. You can use SQL Profiler to determine what are your worst performing queries. Then check out the index tuning wizard on those queries to see if SQL Server has any recommendations. Then check out the execution plans for these queries.
