i'm aware of the following for Access XP.....

Number of characters in a record (excluding Memo and OLE Object fields) 2,000

Is there a limit including memo fields or are they stored in a seperate manner ?

I think the actual limit is something like 1 GB, but a) Access really can't handle file sizes that big and b) it sure as shit can't handle a memo field anywhere near that big without corrupting the database.
