| He guys, I have a lot of experience with crystal and once did start in the reporting services beta group. Because I lacked visual studio it didn't work.1). Do you still need visual studio??2). is reporting services free when you have a sql server license?3). how does it compare to crystal in your opinion? |

1) No, I have heard there are other 3rd party tools out there, but I would still recommend visual studio.2) Only if you put it on the same sql box (which is not the best option), better to seperate both servers3) I hate the word crystal, or any company with that name, crystal reports will bring your business down...financially it is VERY expensive. To this day I still DO NOT understand their licensing charges...can they make any sense at all ever ?
