I am trying to draw a chart (Jan - Dec) with two years worth of daily data, comparing a sales figure for each day compared to last year.I have done this so far by tweaking the data (if year2, year = year-1) which looks fine. The only down side to this is when I look closer, at one months worth of data (this June vs Last June) June 5th is now a Thursday rather than a Friday.Surely there's a better way of showing two years worth of data overlaid?thanks for any help. |

Why dont you create a stacked bar chart or a line chart for each series? A series would be your actual years and would show precisely what you are looking for.I have done this using a stacked bar in the past and it came out very nice. A line chart would be preferable. I have each year as the series, so 2004 is shown in blue and 2005 in green. The chart insists on appending 2005 to the end though, rather than starting from January again, so the lines never appear in the same time frame. Maybe there's a chart property I'm not aware of (or don't know how to use) to force the time frame? |
