Hello all, I'm a newb so I'm still working my through the wealth of information on here, so apologies if this has been covered already ! So here goes.. Is there any way of prioritising queries/sp's to dynamically start, pause and stop based on cpu usage? For example, if cpu usage falls below 10% then the query/sp starts, but if cpu usage exceeds 10% then it pauses, but does not stop/cancel, then carries on when the cpu usage is back below 10%, a sort of intelligent query. Thanks and look forward to feedback! | Have you looked a scheduled jobs? You can start one when the cpu is idle...Can you explain to us what you are trying to do..."pausing" a query or sproc doesn't make much sense...you need to think in terms of transactions...Brett8-)Hint: Want your questions answered fast?
