| I want to create device for all dbs on the server and backup those devices. Since we keep adding new database to the server, is there any way to do this job dynamically?Thanks,- Kathy |

| thanks so much. But is it anyway I create backup device first and then backup all database to those devices? I am a newer for SQL Server Administrator. I just insall the SQL Server 2005, and need to backup all databases to backup devices. Please help. |

| You don't need to use devices. I haven't used them since SQL Server 6.5. You can now backup directly to files. Why do you want to use a device?Tara Kizer |

| The procs that are in those are for 2000. I have not written versions for 2005 nor have I tested them on 2005. I haven't seen anyone with procs as extensive as mine for 2005 yet.Tara Kizer |
