I implement maintenance jobs to backup my database files on sql 2000 server. The backups is backup correctly but old bak files aré not deleted. Someone can help?

Are you using Transaction Log Backups in the maintenance plan, but have some databases [in the plan] with a Recovery model set to SIMPLE? That causes he Maintenance Plan to crap out when it gets to deleting the BAK files for the TLog backups IME.
