Anyone encountered this log warning before?

WARNING: EC 23af9550, 0 waited 300 sec. on latch 19e13e70. Not a BUF latch.

what happened in your system? how did you resolve it?

any idea/help greatly appreciated...

yeah, when it rains it pours, just had to come in over 3 holidays 2 weeks ago and now this during the weekend...

sp3a, I was digging into the latch thing coz this scenario is related to the other post I did though I can say that it's an off-shoot, coz this warning only showed after 4 hours when the insert problem occured

odd note:
i don't want to think i'm jinxed every weekend
there is a logical explanation to these things

Are you performing maintenance when this happens? Do you have SQL LiteSpeed? Are there any processes that get disturbed when this happens?
