I've got the same thing going on in my SQL Server, I recoverd a Backup I made on another System. and I already had different users in both computers, now I have some that when I try to add them to the DB recovered from the backup, says already exists but I can't add 'em 'cause they already exist. There's no way I can find 'em as actual users, but supposedly they exist.Don't know what to do!...I want to erase them an create them back, but I couldn't delete them.I get the very same error message as the topic!Any suggestions? |

Lookup "sp_change_users_login" in Books Online. That should let you fix the issue. I'm guessing you have SIDs out of synch somehow.MeanOldDBAderrickleggett@hotmail.comWhen life gives you a lemon, fire the DBA. |

I use EXEC sp_change_Users_login 'Update_One', 'your_user_name', 'your_user_name' and and it's solved the problem. Thanks for your information.. |
