Hey there,Does anybody knows why I can't install SQL Server 2000 in Windows 20005.00.2195 SP 4.Only allows me to install client tools...Any Ideas???Thanks a lot!!! |

Look at "operating systems, supported by SQL Server editions" in Books Online. You can't install EE or Standard on NT/2k Workstation. What verson of SQL2k are you trying to install?Daniel, MCP, A+SQL Server DBAwww.dallasteam.com |

Installs only on a WinX Server OS. Maybe a work around, but I'm not aware of it. You get the same message when doing an install on XP.Regards |

Thanks SQLServerDBA_DAN,I learned something !!and for db_sysadmin,The link I posted earlier indicates that u cannot install Enterprise / Standard Editions in Windows 2000 workstation. |

Its actually simple, it didnt allow you 'cause you were trying to install the server version on the workstationthere are basically two types, (more actually) the developer and enterpriseChoose the developer and it would work for youAfrika |
