After reading the link above. (which was great) I installed SQL Report Services.

In the help section it talked about installing Report Designer during the installation. Then later in the help it talks about using Microsoft Visual .Net.

Where does Report Designer come from .NET or SQL Server Reporting Sevices?

From Dot Net for .net,
in sql server 2k5 you no longer need .net or any 3rd party tool to design reports. The great thing is MS has included the designer directly inside the report manager for RS 2005 With SQL 2005.
