Hi everyone,

I have written a draft for beginner DBAs for troubleshooting SQL problems. It is written for internal use really but I thought I would share it here. I work in the web hosting team so it is written from that point of view and obviously some of it will not be all that relevant to all of you here.

If you could read through that it would be cool and I will when it is all finished I post it on the SQLTeam.com website so everyone can benefit.

Feedback/suggestions/additions/hatemail welcomed.

Can you make it into a html doc rather than word doc - I for one am not keen on opening it.

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
DTS can be used in a similar way.

Here you go

(On a side not I have never understand the problem with opening up word docs - there is just as much risk from opening up html files now-a-days)

Yeah - but work systems that allow you to access the internet are meant to be set up to protect against it. Opening a file that you know is going to run an application can get you into trouble.
