| Deb,you can use the xp_cmdshell extended stored procedure with the DTSRun.exe command line utility. Run DTSRUN /? at a command prompt to get more information. |

| I'd also consider putting the DTS package in a job. Put the DTSRUN.EXE statement in the job. Then you can just launch the job using sp_start_job. It's more of a fire and forget type approach.
