How to erase the content of logfile?

Why do u want to do that?

If u r looking for truncating the log file
then
backup log database_name with truncate_only
then do a dbcc shrinkfile

check dbcc shrinkfile in bol.

Hi,
if you are doing this and any any inactive transaction is their it will also erased ! is your T-Log is bigger in size then your DB ?! what is your Recovery Model ? are u doing bulk -insert ? if you recovery model is full or logged , you will need to schedule T-Log back on frequent basis.
