Hi guys does anyone know of a quick solution to remove the replication monitor icon within Enterprise Manager please I have tried all sorts but it is still appearing and starting to irritate me as I don't use replication on this server.cheersJim |

| Have you tried clicking on the server in EM, going to Tools -> Replication -> Disable Publishing? |

| I suspect this could only be done by editing the "SQL Server Enterprise Manager.msc" file - and I haven't the foggiest how/if that would be done*##* *##* *##* *##* Chaos, Disorder and Panic ... my work is done here! |

| Yeah that works a treat Rick brings up a disable publishing wizard which after run removes that monitor.Good Ridance who needs replication when you have failover clustering in place...Thanks alot Rick And wanderer you caused uneeded Chaos and Panic with your solution your work was definitly done on making me sh1t myself. |

When your buliding destroys itself, you look back and think.. 'Why didn't I carry on with that replication?!?!' We use a bit of everthing here, got failover, replication (all types) and log shipping.. |

| No sweat at least you are honest about it :) but yeah that solution of Ricks did completey remove the replication monitor from EM view although the replication folder is still there which is cool as I might change my mind.... |
