We successfully installed the first INstance of SQL Server 2005 with success. NOw we are trying to install a second instance and seems to get hung up when configuring the Database Services.Anyone run into this issue? Should we stop all services from running on the server?

I just installed 4 2005 instances yesterday using the RTM version of the bits. I did not even have to reboot in between innstalling the instances. Each install takes a bit of time. How long are you waiting before killing the installation since it appears hung?Tara Kizeraka tduggan

The First Instance Install took about 60 minutes. The second instance is currently running and we are at about two hours, should we be concerned. File Security took about 60 minutes
