I'm trying to register a remote SQL 6.5 database using enterprise manager on my local machine.....it is enterprise manager 8.0I can see the remote server and I know that I'm listed as a user on the remote server but it will not register. The message it gives is that the server does not exist or access is denied....openconnection.What could cause this? The remote machine is running NT service pack 3 and the local machine is running XP professional service pack 2.Thank for any helpGary |

I don't believe that you can register a 6.5 server in Enterprise Manager 2000. I know you can with 7.0 in EM 2000, but I believe you need the 6.5 tools installed for 6.5 servers.Tara Kizeraka tduggan |
