| yes and yes.that is why you should schedule regular tlog backups when your database is in full or bulk logging mode. If you are in simple logging mode, then the tlog is truncated at checkpoint. Running in simple logging means that you will not be able to perform a point in time recovery.For more information on how this works, just read books online.-ec |
