| For SQL 2000, the max size for binary is 8,000 bytes. For 2005 I think it is 2,147,483,647 bytes.Peter LarssonHelsingborg, Sweden |

| BINARY and VARBINARY can hold 8000 bytes, IMAGE can hold 2GB. In 2005 there is a special case VARBINARY(MAX) that like IMAGE can hold up to 2GB as well.-- This one's tricky. You have to use calculus and imaginary numbers for this. You know, eleventeen, thirty-twelve and all those. |
